The Diagonal team’s weekly Monday morning catch-up meeting begins with an F1 Australian GP debrief and three cheers for Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz for a remarkable comeback from surgery. After a meeting with a potential new client, the day ends with our MD, Matt Bishop, launching his brand-new podcast for The Race. In a nod to the great Murray Walker, it’s called ‘And Colossally That’s History!’ The Bish co-hosts with his fellow motorsport history aficionado, Richard Williams, and you can download and listen to it now via your favourite podcast platform.

It’s a momentous day for Diagonal Comms as, at 06:00 UK time, we announce our first individual athlete – rising-star Australian racing driver Patrick Heuzenroeder, 18, who will race in this season’s GB3 Championship and be supported by his compatriot, ex-F1 driver and Le Mans legend David Brabham. A meeting with ‘Team Heuzenroeder’ (ie, Pat, his dad, and his sis) follows, to finalise the content plan for the season-opener at Oulton Park this weekend. There’s still time to issue another ground-breaking press release in the afternoon when our client, the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC), announces that every race of its upcoming season will be streamed live via TikTok. The world-first deal is one of the most significant announcements in the championship’s illustrious 66-year history, as it will introduce the BTCC and its brilliant racing to a younger, more diverse, and global audience.

Our videographers are there to capture the stories of some of Prodrive’s 550 employees, and to find out more about the incredible and innovative products that the company designs and manufactures for a range of industries.
