Tarran Mackenzie Battles for More Points in Indonesia
Tarran Mackenzie moved on from the opening round of the World Supersport Championship at Philip Island near Melbourne, Australia to the humid and hot Indonesia circuit on Lombok Island at the challenging Mandolika Circuit only a week after his World Supersport debut for the Petronas MEI MS Racing Honda team aboard his Honda CBR600RR.
Riding an under developed near showroom stock bike Mackenzie fought to 14th position in both races over the weekend of 4/5th March. Mackenzie and his team flew home delighted with another points finish weekend now with 15 World championship points and 15th overall after two rounds of the WSSP Championship. His Honda team are now 6th overall in the race manufacturers championship.
Mackenzie now has a six week break to the 3rd round of the WSSP which will be at the Assen Circuit in Holland 21st to 23rd April and where the team are hopeful of upgrades for the bike sent from HRC in Japan.
